Wedding planning comes with a lot of assumptions nobody ever double-checks, especially when it comes to venue pricing. Here are nine of the most common ones we hear, and the truth behind each.

Myth: All wedding venues are created equal.
The truth: Your venue sets the tone, and the budget, for everything else you’ll rent. A Twenty & Creek rental runs $6K to $11K depending on season and day of the week, for a full 12-hour block, already covering tables, chairs, AV, and a team member on-site all day, so you’re not sourcing (or paying for) those separately. More budget left for everything else.
Myth: A cheaper venue rental saves you money overall.
The truth: Sometimes it just moves the cost. A lower valley rate that doesn’t include tables, chairs, or a coordinator means you’re paying for those separately. Look at the full total before you compare numbers.

Myth: A venue coordinator is the same thing as a wedding planner.
The truth: Every couple is assigned one of our venue coordinators, and we require at least a planner for month-of coordination too, because it protects your day, not because we’re upselling you.
Myth: You need your date fully locked in before you start booking anyone.
The truth: Not true. Planners, photographers, and popular venues book 12 to 18 months out. If someone’s on your wish list, reach out early, even before the rest of the details are settled.
Myth: Summer months are the quickest to book.
The truth: Not exactly. May and September are consistently some of our busiest (and most requested) months at Twenty & Creek. Hot tip: April and October still give you those garden florals, at a lower rate than our May through September dates.

Myth: The listed price is the final price.
The truth: Ask this at every venue you tour, not just ours. Our pricing is transparent: an additional $400 alcohol service fee applies for events serving alcohol, and standard card processing fees may apply, but nothing else gets tacked on after you book.

Myth: You have to book a Friday or Saturday to land a nice venue.
The truth: Not here. Sunday through Thursday runs less across every season, and our reception-only option, a 6-hour block available Monday through Wednesday in select months, starts at $5,000.

Myth: The venue price includes catering.
The truth: At most venues, including ours, no. Venue rental and catering are separate. We require a licensed, insured caterer and bar vendor from our preferred list, so you’re choosing quality, not guessing blind.

Myth: You have to tour a venue before you know if it fits your budget.
The truth: No, most venues, including us, will send pricing before you ever step inside. Request our pricing brochure first, then save the in-person tour for the ones already in your range.

Still have questions about pricing or availability? Request our pricing and we’ll walk you through exactly what’s included.
