Some love stories take a while to come together. Abigail and Daniel grew up in the same neighborhood and went to the same elementary school, crossing paths more than once without ever meeting.

Years later, they finally connected in New Jersey, where Abigail was dancing professionally and Daniel was working an aerospace engineering internship building rocket valves. From there, things moved naturally toward this August day at Twenty & Creek.

An Easy August Day
August was the perfect time for their wedding. The weather made it easy to move between indoor and outdoor spaces, and the day unfolded without feeling rushed. Doors opened straight out to the green gardens and each part of the celebration flowed into the next.

Getting Ready
The morning started calmly, with Abigail getting ready in soft light, surrounded by close friends.

Pink flower girls wandered nearby in ballet slippers, an easy nod to Abigail’s life as a professional dancer. The tone felt relaxed from the beginning, setting the pace for the rest of the day.

A First Look at Everything Coming Together
Before guests arrived, Abigail and Daniel came in together to see everything set up. It was their first look at the full picture, and the excitement on their faces said it all.

Details That Felt Like Them
Their planner and florist, Details by Laura Lee, brought everything together beautifully. The florals felt fresh and colorful, and nothing felt overdone. Each space looked thoughtful, but still comfortable and inviting.

Personal details were layered in throughout the day in simple, meaningful ways. Swan details appeared throughout the event, bringing an elegant touch to the décor.

Guests were welcomed with an art-inspired sign, and instead of a traditional guest book, they signed a book filled with artwork from The Met.

For kids, there were coloring pages featuring moments from Abigail and Daniel’s relationship, a sweet touch that kept little hands busy and made everyone feel included.

The tables were a perfect blend of bright summer colors and feminine details that felt romantic. Paired with the bright sunshine through the windows, everywhere you turned looked like a still life.

The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the Ceremony Hall, filled with light and quiet anticipation.

Abigail and Daniel chose to walk together down the stairs and into the space, which felt fitting for a couple who have always moved through life side by side.

Their ring ceremony was simple and heartfelt, focused on the moment rather than anything else.

Golden Hour in The Garden
After the ceremony, guests moved outside for fresh hors d’oeuvres in the gardens alongside a customized mocktail bar.

Conversations picked up easily, and the shift felt natural. August evenings at Twenty & Creek have a way of stretching out in the best way, giving everyone time to settle in and enjoy where they are.

Reception in the Grand Hall
Dinner followed in the Grand Hall.
Long tables, warm lighting, and summer florals set the scene. Speeches reflected on how long Abigail and Daniel’s story has been unfolding, from childhood overlaps to finding each other later in life.

The cake cutting was relaxed and joyful, flowing right into the rest of the evening.

As the sun set, the celebration moved back outside for dancing.

The evening included choreographed dances with parents and a first dance from the couple that felt personal and true to them. Later on, Abigail and Daniel shared a private last dance together, a quiet moment before returning to the energy of the party.

DIY Bloom Bar
One of the final touches of the night was the bloom bar, where guests created their own small bouquets to take home.

It was a thoughtful detail and a fun way to end the evening with something tangible from the day.
A Summer Night Sendoff
The night wrapped up with a sparkler sendoff, lighting the front steps as Abigail and Daniel headed into their next chapter. Their chic getaway car was the perfect touch to end their big day.

Their wedding felt warm, personal, and full of moments that reflected who they are. From the swan details to the summer setting, it was a celebration shaped by a long love story finally landing in the right place.
Planning a Summer Wedding in Sandy, Utah?
Abigail and Daniel’s day is a good example of what August at Twenty & Creek can look like when everything comes together — soft light in the Bridal Suite in the morning, a ceremony that flows straight out to the English Gardens, and a Grand Hall dinner that feels intimate even with a full guest list.
Our indoor and outdoor spaces are designed to work together, so couples don’t have to choose between the mountain views and an air-conditioned reception. For summer weddings especially, that flexibility matters. Utah August evenings are beautiful, but having the option to move guests inside without disrupting the feel of the night makes a real difference.
