There’s something undeniably magical about a Utah autumn. The air turns crisp, the leaves shift from green to gold, and the light (that warm, amber afternoon light) does things to a wedding photo that no filter can replicate. At Twenty & Creek, fall is our busiest and most beloved season, and after this year’s lineup of celebrations, it’s easy to see why.

Located in Sandy, Utah, and serving couples across the Salt Lake Valley and the wider Wasatch Front, Twenty & Creek is a full-service luxury wedding venue offering both indoor and outdoor ceremony and reception spaces on a single property. That flexibility is one of the reasons fall works so beautifully here. You can exchange vows inside our light-filled chapel-style ceremony hall with its soaring ceilings and arched windows, then move the celebration outside to the garden terrace under crystal chandeliers as the sun sets over the mountains. Or flip it entirely. No shuttles, no second locations, no logistics headaches.
From September garden receptions to November ceremonies wrapped in cozy candlelight, here’s a look at seven couples who made the most of fall at our Sandy, Utah venue.
Blair & John | September 13
Blair and John’s wedding was the kind of evening you want to bottle up and keep forever. Their reception unfolded in our Grand Hall, where rich fall florals and warm candlelight set the tone, but the real showstopper was the outdoor dance floor, draped in hanging crystal chandeliers that glittered against the trees as the sun went down.

The checkerboard floor, the laughter, the golden hour light filtering through the garden: it was a perfect September night.

Morgan & Chris | November 15
Morgan and Chris chose an intimate and deeply personal touch for their wedding day: private vows exchanged in our garden, just the two of them, before the celebration began.

That quiet moment in the lush greenery, reading handwritten words to each other surrounded by berry-red foliage, gave their day a heartfelt depth that carried through the entire evening.

Their reception featured a striking black and white checker dance floor that added a bold, editorial contrast to the soft romanticism of the venue.
Emma & Travis | October 10
October at Twenty & Creek means the outdoor grounds are at peak color, and Emma and Travis made full use of every inch of it.
Their bridal party photos on the manicured lawn and garden paths had that quintessential fall energy: big smiles, leaves underfoot, and a relaxed joy that translated beautifully in every frame.

Inside, their ceremony space was dressed in classic black and white with natural light streaming through our iconic arched windows, giving the space an almost chapel-like serenity.

Elise & Evan | October 9
Elise and Evan brought together the best of both worlds: an indoor ceremony in the Grand Hall and a garden reception under the open sky.

The contrast was breathtaking, with a ceremony surrounded by soaring ceilings, cascading florals, and warm chandelier light, followed by an evening reception in the gardens as the last bit of October sunshine faded behind the Wasatch. Their florals leaned deeply autumnal, with burgundy, rust, and dried botanical textures that felt perfectly at home in both spaces.

Caroline & Jaxon | November 21
Caroline’s entrance down our grand staircase, framed in lush greenery and white florals, is the kind of moment that stops a room.

The sweeping staircase, already a centerpiece of the venue, became something truly cinematic when dressed with cascading vines and soft blooms.

Their ceremony in the Grand Hall continued the garden-meets-grandeur theme, with natural greenery florals softening the bright white walls and gold chandeliers. A late November wedding that felt like a dream.
Dolli & Wesley | November 7
Dolli and Wesley brought a tropical warmth to a November day that made guests forget all about the season. Lush, vibrant ceremony florals (birds of paradise, monstera, and cascading greenery) transformed the ceremony hall into something lively and unexpected.

After the ceremony, the couple slipped outside for portraits in the autumn garden, where golden leaves and cool air made for a stunning contrast to the bold tropical palette they’d chosen inside.

Chloe & Hunter | September 24
Chloe and Hunter’s reception had an effortless elegance: long tables dressed in lush hydrangea runners, soft candlelight, and a color palette that felt right at home in September.

After dinner, they slipped outside for portraits in the garden, the venue’s warm lights glowing behind them, hydrangeas still blooming in the beds.

It’s a reminder of why late September is one of the most sought-after weekends at Twenty & Creek: you get every bit of summer’s lushness with just the first whisper of fall in the air.

Inspired by what you’ve seen? Here’s what to know before you start planning.
September weekends are the first to go. Dates like Blair and John’s September 13th or Chloe and Hunter’s September 24th tend to book out earlier than any other time of year. If you have your heart set on a September date, we recommend reaching out as soon as possible. Submit a request to check our calendar availability
Our best-kept budget tip: book October or November. You’ll still get those incredible fall colors (deep golds, burnt oranges, the rich green of our evergreens) while accessing more favorable pricing during the transition between our peak and off-peak seasons. Couples like Morgan, Caroline, Dolli, and Wesley had some of the most stunning fall photos imaginable, and they did it in November.
How far in advance should you book? For fall dates at a Sandy, Utah wedding venue, we generally recommend booking 12 to 18 months out, especially if you’re set on a specific weekend. September and early October Saturdays are the first to go, followed closely by late October. November offers the most flexibility and, as mentioned above, some of the best value pricing of the fall season.
When should you come for a tour? Anytime, honestly, but touring in summer gives you a real feel for the outdoor spaces in full bloom. Touring in early fall lets you see the venue at its most atmospheric. Either way, we recommend scheduling your tour before you’ve fully committed to a date so you have flexibility when you fall in love with the space.
What’s included? Twenty & Creek is a full-service luxury venue, which means you’re not starting from scratch with an empty room. Our indoor ceremony hall, Grand Hall reception space, bridal suite, outdoor garden terrace, and signature furnishings are all part of the experience. We also work closely with a trusted network of Utah wedding vendors including photographers, florists, and caterers, so we can help you build your team from the ground up if needed.
